The problem with the Blocked outside drain SW11 usually happens due to remains and deposits of soap deposits combined with hair (when it comes to bathroom drains) or fat and grease deposits (bathroom and kitchen drains). It is possible that block is located in syphon or in between the sink and the syphon in which case it is possible to use the mechanical tools to remove it. On the other hand, in order to remove the block in the Blocked outside drain SW11 you should try to clean the plug in this part of the system and then make sure to maintain the plumbing regularly. You can clean this plug with a brush, such as the one you use to clean jars-it is narrow enough to clean this part of the drain as well as the syphon. As we have already mentioned, maintenance is the key to keep the plumbing and drains clean and to avoid the need for professional plumbing services. In order to perform this maintenance by yourself, here are few safe recipes that will keep plumbing clean and fat-free.
One of solutions to use is to put baking soda in the drain that needs to be cleaned and then pour half a cup of vinegar over the soda. This will cause intensive chemical reaction but don’t worry-this is the way how vinegar and baking soda react when combined. After they have finished with the reaction, you can wash them off with hot water. This will maintain the plumbing and also remove majority of blocks in there that have developed from grease and fats.
It is also good to pour cup of baking soda down the drain together with half of that amount of salt. Let this mixture stay in the drain overnight, and wash it off in the morning with a bucket of boiling water. This will surely remove dirt as well as unpleasant smells from the system.
