Fixing a shower drain that is moving slowly can be achieved very easily by removing any clogs that are within. If you realise that the shower drain isn’t draining as it should, it only means that there is a serious clog somewhere in the drain line. This is not a very difficult thing to handle. However, when you have a blocked shower SW11, you need to ensure that the matter isn’t left unattended. It is very important that you ensure that you get the issue handled as soon as it arises so as to avert any serious difficulties in the future. What to do when your shower is clogged
When your drain is clogged, you need to correct the issue because it can become even more serious if left unattended. You will need a screwdriver, a flashlight, a wire hanger, a hand snake, a stiff wire, a plunger, gloves and a trash bag.
The strainer has to be removed by using the screwdriver and then use your flashlight to look into the drain and inspect if there are any clogs within the opening. In most cases, a blocked shower SW11 is caused by hair. A coat hanger or a stiff wire should then be used to clear the drain of the hair and any other obstructions.
You can also use the plunger; most of the clogs in your shower drain can be very easily handled by a plunger. The rubber cup needs to be placed over the opening of the drain and then make sure there is enough water in the shower stall so as to cover the cup. You should then move the plunger in a rapid motion to force out the clog. If these two methods don’t work, a hand snake can be used. This is where you feed the cable end into the hole and if you feel the cable stop, the handle needs to be moved clockwise so as to snag your clog. You should crank the handle as you pull out the clog.
